What OUR parents & FAMILIEs are saying
On January 17, 2022, our two girls had their first annual homeschool evaluation. Mrs. Lexa, A.K.A. @thelitadvocate, our licensed teacher evaluator was the ultimate professional from start to finish. Lexa holds a Master of Education in Reading, and she was the right person to assist us in this process. Her experience truly gave me great confidence about the homeschool parents my husband and I are and growing to be. We completed evaluations for both girls and a separate consultation. Let me tell you it was worth it! She honed in on the girls individually & recommended them both to continue what they are doing academically and extracurricular while adding a few more things to assist in their growth. Mrs. Lexa provided a summary for both girls & for us parents. It brought me to tears. Parenting and homeschooling is definitely a journey, and my takeaway is to learn with your children & find joy in this experience. ✨✨

Lexa is an exceptional teacher who has a special knack for determining what type of instruction your child needs and quickly implementing a teaching plan that works well. Our child looked forward to working with Lexa and his confidence in his Reading and Writing grew rapidly. His grades at school improved and he feels so much better about himself.

I have had the pleasure to know Mrs. Duno in many roles over the past several years. She taught my child in the traditional school classroom, through virtual tutoring and classes, and she partnered with me for an amazing year of homeschooling. In each of these modalities one thing was consistent. She greeted my girls with a warm, friendly smile, treated them respectfully, and ignited their passion for reading, writing, history, math and Spanish. I had a child in second and fifth grades. Both showed tremendous, measurable growth in reading, language, and math. The academic growth is very important to me, and equally important is that they developed a relationship with an educator who inspires them to find their unique contribution to their world, enjoy reading, write meaningfully, and find the fun in the process. As a virtual teacher expectations were clearly explained and followed creating a structured, personalized learning environment. She has proven to be reliable and punctual. I could tell she puts a lot of planning into all her lessons. As a homeschool teacher we worked together to determine which subject areas to cover. We collaborated on individualized topics to be covered, and how the children would be evaluated.

Lexa is a gifted teacher. Not only has my 4th grader made a tremendous progress in his prep for the FL SLA, Lexa has been a very positive role model in general. My son can't wait to get started with his classes again once summer is over. Besides excelling on his FL SLA he also developed a passion and appreciation for writing that he never had before. Well done Lexa and thank you.
