3. design and deliver a rich & authentic education program that balances 1:1, small-group, teacher-led, and independent instruction to foster cognitive development, skill mastery, learner confidence & joy.
4. Craft in-person and virtual learning experiences that drive creativity, collaboration, design-thinking, and lateral growth through teamwork.
Hybrid Homeschool Program Highlights
The Science & art of Reading: Science of reading aligned systematic phonics + living books + writing for authentic purposes, k-8
A comprehensive literacy program + an engaging exploration of literature & the written word: For elementary and middle school students in K-8.
With differentiated, small group instruction that focuses on developmentally appropriate reading, writing, and thinking skills. The primary and elementary groups will spend time exploring, understanding, and applying foundational literacy skills, while the middle school group will delve deeper to explore etymology, roots, and affixes.

STEAM, Authentic Problem Solving to unite Skill Mastery & Project-Based Learning, K-8
K-8 learners will become confident and proficient in solving complex problems through a visual and concrete approach to mathematics!
The class emphasizes a visual and concrete approach to mathematics that develops a working conceptual understanding in our learners, organizing lessons around key topics like number sense, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving. In addition, it builds upon cross-curricular project-based thematic units to engage learners in design thinking, problem solving, and multisensory activities that encourage higher-order thinking.

Roots & Shoots: Community Builders & a better world
Based on Jane Goodall's Community Service Project Curriculum
In this class, learners will explore what Goodall calls "Compassionate Leadership," by identifying a community need, brainstorming ways to fill that need to support our local community, and then planning how to do just that! At the end of the semester and/or year, learners will seek support to accomplish their community support project and reach the goals they established in collaboration with their peers!
Kids in Biz: an immersive guide to starting and running a small business, for k-8 learners
Shark Tank style Pitch Project + Real-Time Learning as Students Plan, Manage, and Build Our Own School Store!
In this class, we will explore "People Smarts," "Money Smarts," and Innovation. Students will develop a product or service and mold it into the next, best business idea. in the meantime, they'll get hands-on experience in what it takes to run and manage a business, balance books and finances, and handle inventory at our Lilly Pod Lane School Store!
the book whisperer's 40 book challenge & read-a-thon
For students registered for the entire academic year; students registered for a single semester will participate in the 20 Book Challenge.
Inspired by Donalyn Miller's The Book Whisperer, the 40 Book Challenge is a personal challenge for each individual student, and through an exploration of genres, an introduction to the NEW rules of reading (and sometimes leaving) books that we love (and don't!), this class shows readers the joys beyond reading for testing, reading for timers, or reading for anyone else's sake. This class brings each learner into their own dialogue with books!
